A BuildTech feasibility consultation gives you an honest, expert assessment of what is realistically achievable within your budget — before you commit to any design or construction costs. We cover your budget position, planning status, design options, and a realistic project timeline. It costs €200 for a phone or video call, or €500 for an on-site home visit.

Timelines vary depending on project complexity, planning requirements, and your start date. As a general guide, a single-storey rear extension typically takes 4–6 months on-site from build start to completion. Projects requiring full planning permission will add 8–12 weeks to the overall timeline. We provide a detailed programme at the outset so you know what to expect at every stage.

BuildTech's minimum project value is €100,000. We do not take on cosmetic-only projects, single-trade works, or projects below this threshold. We are a specialist design and build contractor — if your project is below this value, we will tell you clearly and honestly at the outset.

No. BuildTech does not price open tenders. Every project begins with a feasibility consultation, followed by our own cost and technical design process. This ensures the design and the build cost are always aligned — and you receive a price directly from the contractor who will build the project.

BuildTech serves the Greater Dublin Region — all Dublin postcodes, North and South County Dublin, Kildare, Meath, and Wicklow. We do not currently take on projects outside this area. If you are unsure whether your location is covered, contact us and we will confirm.

Yes — if you already have drawings, BuildTech offers a Cost Planning & Construction Review from €2,500 + VAT. We provide a full line-by-line cost breakdown of your existing design, identify any gaps or issues, and advise on value engineering where the design exceeds your budget.
